Congratulations

You’ve Decided to Save A Life!

Thank you for considering It Takes A Village Animal Rescue, Inc. It is people like you that make it possible for us to continue saving animals from high-kill shelters and irresponsible humans.

Please notify your veterinarian’s office that we will be calling for a reference, as some require your permission to speak to us. We will also perform a home visit. All who live in the house must be present for the home visit and signing of adoption contract.

The following requirements apply to all adoptions; you must:

  • Be at least 25 years of age, or 21 years old and own your own home. If you are married or have a significant other living in the house, they must be a co-applicant and on the application.
  • Provide legal ID showing your current address to verify age.
  • While it is our goal to find a home for each and every animal in our care, it is also our responsibility to ensure that each animal finds a home that is not only safe and loving, but is right for their particular temperament. Understand that ITAVAR reserves the right to deny any adoption for any reason.
  • You must have a crate for the dog, and continue to crate train after the adoption.

ADOPTION FEES

Our adoption fee is between $150-$400. Our dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, micro chipped and up-to-date on vaccines (Unless they are under 6 months of age, then a $200 deposit is required and returned when puppy is spayed/neutered).

Our adoption fee covers only a small portion of the expenses of responsibly caring for our dogs.
