Rufus came to our rescue from a kill shelter in North Carolina with heart worms. We put him through heart worm treatment and now he is done his treatment and feeling like a healthy happy 2 year old.
Rufus had not been taught anything before we rescued him and he is work in progress and learning quickly. He is being fostered in a home with dogs, cats and lots of children and a few adults. Rufus is a happy go lucky dog that is now finally learning some structure. This love-bug loves people and just wants attention. He’s got a lot of energy, as a 2 year old should and would love an active family. He has been known to get in the water with some coaxing.
Rufus is working on his crate training (it is getting him in the crate, once in, he is fine) and he is working on his leash walking, he does like to pull, but the foster started using an easy walk on him and it has helped a lot.
He is house trained. Rufus is micro chipped, up to date on all of his vaccines and neutered. If you are interested in adopting Rufus please fill out an application.
