Danno was found wandering the streets in North Carolina. He is thought to be about 4 to 5 years old and a Border Collie Mix, weighing about 50 pounds. Danno has now been in rescue for 1.5 years learning to trust humans.
He was in foster in North Carolina for the last 11 months and started becoming comfortable just the last 4 months there, where he would actually get on the couch to get some personal attention. He loves all dogs and will need another confident dog in the household that will show him the ropes.
It is believed that Danno has lived his entire life on the streets and because of this is a bit scared of people, though does not have a mean bone in his body. He has never tried to bite; he just tries to make himself small. Once he warms up to you and some sweet talking, he will let you pet him and will take treats gently. Danno does ok on a leash as long as he has another dog with him. He is house trained and crate trained. A fenced in yard is a must for Danno.
Danno is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all of his vaccines. If you are interested in adopting Danno, please fill out an application.
